Secondary school students organize documentary film screenings for their schoolmates, and thereby transmit information about current global issues.

The tradition of the film clubs of the One World in Schools Programme dates back to 2003. Since then, secondary school students organize documentary film screenings for their peers within the clubs in their free time, and thereby communicate information about current issues and challenges of today’s world. Ordinarily, the students make use of the school premises and equipment, where they also organize other follow-up activities such as discussions with guests, traditional cuisine tasting and exhibitions.

Any secondary school student or a group of students in the Czech Republic can found a student film club under the auspices of the One World in Schools. You can find detailed information about international activities of film clubs HERE. Detailed list of instructions on how to found a club are available in Czech are HERE.
